The Whitehall School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and also includes PSHE, reasoning, French. The school offers each child a handful of extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

There are regular educational trips for all year groups. Outdoor learning for all pupils, a camp out in the school grounds for Years 3 and 4, and a residential trip for Years 5 and 6.

Specialist teachers for sport, music and languages throughout and for maths and English in Years 5 and 6.

Sport at Whitehall School

School offers PE and up to 10 seasonal sports. Representative teams in major sports from Year 3.

The Arts at Whitehall School

Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. Drama is part of the co-curriculum. All pupils learn an instrument in class and about one third take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. There is a choir and one or two instrument ensembles. There are some extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.

Wraparound care

Wraparound care from 8.00am to 5.30pm. Nursery operates for 50 weeks of the year.
