Yateley Manor School is an independent prep day school for boys and girls (50%/50%) between the ages of 2 and 13 years. It is a Church of England school, open to all faiths and none. The school has a non-selective admissions policy. It is a standalone prep school, not tied to any one senior school, with a new senior division to age 16 from September 2024, and is a member of the Inspired Learning Group. Yateley Manor School fees range from £4,361 (Rec) to £5,978 per term (2024/25). Fees exclude VAT but include lunches.

Yateley Manor School has one class per year rising to two, and an average class size of 15 pupils.

Leavers' destinations

Destinations for most Yateley Manor School leavers are local independent day and boarding schools. Salesian College, Lord Wandsworth College, Luckley House, Farnborough Hill, and Wellington College are the most popular. About 30% win scholarships. From Sep 24, the school will extend provision to Year 11.

The Yateley Manor School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and the ISEB Common Entrance curriculum. It also includes PSHE, home economics, textiles, chess, French, Spanish. In Years 7 and 8 the school teaches a more skills based curriculum, the Pre-Senior Baccalaureate, alongside the core ISEB curriculum subjects (maths, English, science) and/or senior school entrance curricula. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs. In recent years the school has enjoyed national tournament success in chess.

There are regular educational trips for all year groups, visiting speakers and residential trips from Year 5.

Specialist teachers for sport, music and languages throughout, and for most subjects from Year 5.

Sport at Yateley Manor School

School offers between 10 and 15 different sports over the course of the year. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. Pupils in Years 7 and 8 can take GCSE Physical Education. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in athletics, basketball, netball, swimming.

The Arts at Yateley Manor School

Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils, as is drama from Year 3. All pupils learn an instrument in class and half take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Five choirs, orchestra and several instrument ensembles. The school offers each pupil over 5 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
