The Aldro School curriculum
School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and the ISEB Common Entrance curriculum with some additions and variations. It also includes PSHE, French, Latin, Greek. In Years 7 and 8 the school teaches a more skills based curriculum, the Aldro Baccalaureate, alongside the core ISEB curriculum subjects (maths, English, science) and/or senior school entrance curricula. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs. In recent years the school has enjoyed national tournament success in chess.

Sport at Aldro School
School offers over 20 different sports through the year, through both the curriculum and an extensive extra-curriculum. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in athletics, rugby, rugby 7s, shooting.
The Arts at Aldro School
Art, music and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and nearly all take extra-curricular instrument lessons. Three choirs, two orchestras and several instrument ensembles. The school offers each pupil over 5 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
