At the end of Year 3, most boys leave the pre-prep for Broomwood Prep Boys. Girls join Broomwood Prep Girls. The Broomwood Prep Girls & Pre-Prep curriculum
School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and the ISEB Common Entrance curriculum and also includes PSHE, reasoning, French, Spanish, Latin. The curriculum is thematic to Year 3, after which all subjects are taught separately. It is a knowledge curriculum, but learning skills taught through the school’s Five Learning Powers. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

Sport at Broomwood Prep Girls & Pre-Prep
School offers between 10 and 15 different sports over the course of the year. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in karate.
The Arts at Broomwood Prep Girls & Pre-Prep
Art, music and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and two-thirds take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Five choirs, orchestra and several instrument ensembles. Each pupil may participate in up to 10 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
Wraparound care
At the Lower School, there is before school care from 7.30am run by school staff, and after school care to 6.00pm run by external contractors. At the Upper School, the school day runs from 8.00am to 6.00pm with clubs.
