School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and also includes ‘STEAM Week’, PSHEE, French, Spanish. Cross-curricular topic-based teaching up to Year 2. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

Sport at King Edward VI Preparatory School

School offers between 10 and 15 different sports over the course of the year. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in athletics, hockey, sailing.

The Arts at King Edward VI Preparatory School

Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils, as is drama from Year 3. All pupils learn an instrument in class and half take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Three choirs, orchestra and several instrument ensembles. The school offers each pupil over 5 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
