King’s College Prep School is an independent prep day and boarding school for boys and girls (50%/50%) between the ages of 2 and 13 years. Boarding from Year 3 for the 10% of pupils who board. 40% are full boarders and 60% are weekly or flexi boarders. It is a Church of England school, open to all faiths and none. The school has an academically selective admissions policy from Year 3. It is the junior division of King’s College, an all-through school to age 18, and is a member of the Woodard Corporation. King’s College Prep School fees range from £3,395 (Rec) to £7,250 per term (2024/25). Full boarding fees range from £8,370 to £10,790 per term. Fees exclude VAT and lunches.

Leavers' destinations

The King's College Prep School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and the ISEB Common Entrance curriculum with some additions and variations. It also includes PSHEE, French, Spanish, Latin. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

Sport at King's College Prep School

School is one of the 50 prep schools with the most extensive sports offers in the UK. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in fencing, hockey, squash.

The Arts at King's College Prep School

Art, music and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and three-quarters take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Four choirs, orchestra and over 10 instrument ensembles. There are some extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
