Sport at Putney High Junior School

School offers PE and up to 10 seasonal sports. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in gymnastics.

The Arts at Putney High Junior School

Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. Drama is part of the co-curriculum. Emphasis on oracy and lessons with am ‘Orator in Residence’. All pupils learn an instrument in class and nearly all take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Two choirs and a 60-strong orchestra. The Junior School Choir has a strong track record in national choral competitions. Each pupil may participate in up to 10 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
