School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and also includes PSHE, STEM, Spanish, Mandarin. A ‘creative curriculum’ to Year 2, and a thematic and skills-based curriculum from Year 3, where all subjects link to a termly ‘Big Idea’. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

Sport at Ryde School Prep & Pre-Prep
School offers over 15 different sports through the year, through both the curriculum and extra-curriculum. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. All pupils learn to sail. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in sailing.
The Arts at Ryde School Prep & Pre-Prep
Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. Drama is part of the creative and co-curriculum. All pupils learn an instrument in class and two-thirds take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Choir, orchestra and several instrument ensembles. The school offers each pupil over 5 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
