In Years 7 and 8 the school teaches the Pre-Senior Baccalaureate, which blends nine transferable learning skills with ISEB and National Curriculum subjects and/or senior school entrance curricula. The aim is to better prepare pupils for the demands of rapidly evolving academic and work environments.
School offers between 10 and 15 different sports over the course of the year. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. Inclusive sports policy means that everybody gets to represent the school. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in athletics, cross country, golf.
Art, music and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and over half take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Five choirs, orchestra and 12 instrument ensembles. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
