Trent College, The Elms is an independent prep day and boarding school for boys and girls (60%/40%) between the ages of 6 weeks and 11 years. Boarding from Year 5 for the very small number of pupils who board. All are weekly or flexi boarders. It is a Church of England school, open to all faiths and none. The school has an academically selective admissions policy. It is the junior division of Trent College, an all-through school to age 18. Trent College, The Elms fees range from £4,220 (Rec) to £4,723 per term (2024/25). Fees exclude VAT but include lunches.

The Trent College, The Elms curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and also includes PSHE, French. Cross-curricular topic-based teaching of history, geography, science, art and design up to Year 2. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

Sport at Trent College, The Elms

School offers over 15 different sports through the year, through both the curriculum and extra-curriculum. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in football.

The Arts at Trent College, The Elms

Art, music and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and there is a 1-to-1 sponsored instrument learning scheme for all Year 3 pupils. After Year 3, up to half take extra-curricular instrument lessons. Choir, orchestra and several instrument ensembles. The school is one of the top 50 UK prep schools for the breadth of its creative and performing arts extra-curriculum.
