The Truro High Prep School curriculum
School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and also includes PSHEE, STEM, ‘Big Thinking’ (philosophy, critical thinking), French, Spanish, Latin. As part of the whole school mission to make girls ‘Future Ready’, the ‘Learn Challenge Curriculum’ promotes enquiry-based learning, and personal responsibility for learning. Homework, other than maths and English, is a long term ‘Curiosity Project’, a child-led enquiry-based research project. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

The Arts at Truro High Prep School
Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. Drama and dance from Year 5. All pupils learn an instrument in class and half take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Choir and orchestra. The choir has a strong track record in national choral competitions. Each pupil may participate in up to 10 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
