West Hill Park School is an independent prep day and boarding school for boys and girls (50%/50%) between the ages of 2.5 and 13 years. Boarding from Year 3 for the 10% of pupils who board. 5% are full boarders and 95% are weekly or flexi boarders. The school has a non-selective admissions policy. It is a standalone prep school, not tied to any one senior school, and is a member of the Prep Schools Trust (Radley Schools Group). West Hill Park School fees range from £5,200 (Rec) to £7,810 per term (2025/26). Full boarding fees range from £10,750 to £11,220 per term. Fees include VAT but exclude lunches.

The West Hill Park School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and also includes PSHE, reasoning, French, Latin. To balance skill acquisition and fact learning in Years 7 and 8, the school teaches the Pre Senior Baccalaureate alongside the core ISEB curriculum subjects and scholarship curricula. The West Hill Park Award, for Years 5 to 8, promotes engagement and achievement in academics, creative arts, sport, Outdoor Education and Life Skills. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

There are regular educational trips for all year groups, visiting speakers and residential trips from Year 3. School has a significant outdoor, environmental, and ‘future skills’ curriculum including Forest School and Beach School for younger pupils, and the Outdoor Challenge Certificate (Years 3 to 8).

Specialist teachers for sport, music, art and languages throughout, and for most subjects from Year 5.

Sport at West Hill Park School

School offers over 20 different sports through the year, through both the curriculum and an extensive extra-curriculum. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in sailing.

The Arts at West Hill Park School

Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils, as is drama from Year 5. All pupils learn an instrument in class and half take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Three choirs, orchestra and several instrument ensembles. The school is one of the top 50 UK prep schools for the breadth of its creative and performing arts extra-curriculum.

Wraparound care from 7.40am to 5.40pm. Facility for occasional boarding. Saturday morning Activities programme.
