School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and the ISEB Common Entrance curriculum with some additions and variations. It also includes PSHE, French, Spanish, German. Forest School for the youngest pupils. The school offers a handful of extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.
Specialist teachers for sport, music and languages throughout, and for most subjects from Year 6.
School widens the curriculum with off-curriculum 'Activities' on Thursday afternoons, Saturday morning 'Enrichment' for Years 6 to 8. The Wycliffe Baccalaureate curriculum in Years 7 and 8 recognises academic achievement (two-thirds) and wider curriculum achievement/participation (one third). School has an accredited Gifted & Talented Programme and a CReSTeD recognised dyslexia facility.
Up to 5.5 hours (18% of curriculum time) of sport per week. School offers over 15 different sports through the year, through both the curriculum and extra-curriculum. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in athletics, cross country, golf, squash.
Art, music and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and over half take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Three choirs and several instrument ensembles. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
Wraparound care from 8.00am to 6.00pm.
