Leavers' destination schools for Birchfield School pupils are one of 25 day and boarding schools, independent and grammar. Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. Drama is part of the co-curriculum. All pupils learn an instrument in class and over half take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Choir, orchestra and some instrument ensembles. Up to 10 extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs per year group per term.
Wraparound care from 7.30am to 6.00pm. Outside contractors manage an onsite nursery for children from 6 weeks to 4 years.
