The Newbridge Preparatory School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and also includes PSHEE, reasoning, French. Apart from some cross-curricular ‘topics’ in Reception and Nursery, subjects are taught separately. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

There are regular educational trips for all year groups, visiting speakers and residential trips from Year 3. Forest School for all, in particular for Nursery and Reception pupils. The school also has its own Brownies and Girl Guides unit.

Specialist teachers for sport, music, dance and languages throughout, and for art and science from Year 2.

Sport at Newbridge Preparatory School

School offers between 10 and 15 different sports over the course of the year. Representative teams in major sports from Year 3.

The Arts at Newbridge Preparatory School

Art, music and dance are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils, as is drama from Year 3. Pupils learn an instrument in class from Year 2 and some take extra-curricular instrument lessons. Choir and one or two instrument ensembles. There are some extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.

Wraparound care

Wraparound care from 7.30am to 6.00pm. Holiday club for 14 weeks of the year.
