Lancing Prep Worthing is an independent prep day school for boys and girls (50%/50%) between the ages of 2 and 13 years. It is a Church of England school, open to all faiths and none. The school has a non-selective admissions policy. It is a prep school to Lancing College (age 13-18), and is a member of the Woodard Corporation. Lancing Prep Worthing fees range from £3,715 (Rec) to £5,105 per term (2024/25). Fees exclude VAT but include lunches.

The Lancing Prep Worthing curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum with some additions and variations. It also includes PSHEE, Learn to Learn, French, Spanish, German, Latin. In Years 7 to 8 the school follows the Common Entrance, Scholarship and related curricula for maths, English and science, and a bespoke skills-related curriculum for all other subjects. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

There are regular educational trips for all year groups, visiting speakers, Forest School to Year 2 and biennial residential trips from Year 3.

Specialist teachers for sport and music throughout, for languages, computing, art and DT from Year 3, for drama from Year 5, and for all subjects from Year 7.

Sport at Lancing Prep Worthing

School offers between 10 and 15 different sports over the course of the year. Representative teams in major sports from Year 3.

The Arts at Lancing Prep Worthing

Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils, as is drama from Year 5. All pupils learn an instrument in class and up to half take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Three choirs, an orchestra and two instrument ensembles. There are some extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
