Moulsford Preparatory School is an independent prep day and boarding school for boys between the ages of 3 and 13 years. It has a co-ed nursery and pre-prep. Boarding from Year 5 for the 10% of pupils who board. All are weekly or flexi boarders. It is a Church of England school, open to all faiths and none. The school has a non-selective admissions policy. It is a standalone prep school, not tied to any one senior school. The Moulsford Preparatory School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and ISEB Common Entrance curriculum, with some additions and variations. There is cross-curricular linking, especially for humanities subjects. It also includes Learning for Life, French, Spanish, Latin. The Moulsford Award reinforces the broad (extra-) curriculum. Each boy undertakes a new activity from each of Healthy Living, the Arts, Service, and Adventure. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

There are regular educational trips for all year groups, visiting speakers and residential trips from Year 5. Outdoor learning includes Forest School in pre-prep and survival skills in prep.

Specialist teachers for sport, music, languages, art, and drama throughout, and for most subjects from Year 5.

Sport at Moulsford Preparatory School

School offers over 20 different sports through the year, through both the curriculum and an extensive extra-curriculum. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in judo, rugby 7s, skiing, trampolining.

The Arts at Moulsford Preparatory School

Art, music and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and three-quarters take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Two choirs, orchestra and several instrument ensembles. The school offers each pupil over 5 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.

Wraparound care

Wraparound care from 7.45am to 5.55pm. Day boarding option to 8.00pm. Facility for occasional boarding.
