Oakridge Schools Federation is a state primary school for boys and girls (50%/50%) between the ages of 2 and 11 years. It is a community school. The school is a federation of Oakridge Junior and Oakridge Infant Schools. The school was also rated as Good by Ofsted in its last (2020) inspection.

The Oakridge Schools Federation curriculum

School curriculum also includes PSHE, French. Core subjects are taught separately. Foundation subjects, such as geography and history, are taught as half-termly ‘creative curriculum’ topics with cross-curricular links to other subjects especially maths, English and computing. The school offers each child a handful of extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

Sport at Oakridge Schools Federation

School offers between 10 and 15 different sports over the course of the year. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. School Games Mark Gold Award.

The Arts at Oakridge Schools Federation

Art and music are taught as discrete subjects to all pupils. DT, drama, dance integrated into other subjects. Choir. There are some extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.

Wraparound care

School hours are from 8.40am to 3.20pm. Breakfast club from 7.45am, and clubs can extend the day to 4.15pm.
