The Glasgow Academy's Milngavie and Newlands pupils move seamlessly to the Kelvinbridge site from Primary 5. From there most Prep pupils move up to senior school at the end of Primary 7.
School curriculum is guided by the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence. It is taught through cross-curricular topics to at least P5, and it also includes PSHE, French, Spanish, German. Each pupil may participate in over 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.
Specialist teachers for sport, music and languages throughout, and for art, drama, and food tech from Primary 6.
There are regular educational trips for all year groups, and visiting speakers. Residential trips from P5. The school is also an Eco School and has Green Flag accreditation at all three sites.

The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
Wraparound care from 8.00am to 6.00pm at the Kelvinbridge and Milngavie sites, and from 8.00am to 7.30pm at the Newlands site. Care for 50 weeks of the year at the Kelvinbridge site.
