Tockington Manor School is an independent prep day school for boys and girls (60%/40%) between the ages of 2 and 13 years. It is a Church of England school, open to all faiths and none. The school has a non-selective admissions policy. It is a standalone prep school, not tied to any one senior school, and is a member of the Clifton College Education Group. Tockington Manor School fees range from £4,235 (Rec) to £6,535 per term (2024/25). Fees exclude VAT but include lunches.

Leavers' destinations

Destinations for most of Year 8 Tockington Manor School leavers are one of 15-20 independent day and boarding schools. Pupils move on to a wide spread of destination schools, usually in their ones or twos. But there are some perennial favourites. Wycliffe College takes 20%-30% of leavers. And in any given year Clifton College, Westonbirt, King’s Taunton and the Monmouth Schools can account for up to 20% of pupils. The link with Clifton College Education Group from November 2023 may influence the future destination mix though there are no current plans for preferential admissions.

The Tockington Manor School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and the ISEB Common Entrance curriculum with some additions and variations. It also includes PSHE, French, Spanish, Latin. The school offers each child a handful of extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

Specialist teachers for sport, music, and languages throughout, for art and DT from Year 1, and for all subjects from Year 5.

Sport at Tockington Manor School

School offers between 10 and 15 different sports over the course of the year. Representative teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in cross country, swimming.

The Arts at Tockington Manor School

Art, music and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and up to half take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Three choirs, orchestra and some instrument ensembles. There are some extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.

Wraparound care from 7.45am to 6.30pm. Minibus service.
