Dorset House School is an independent prep day and boarding school for boys and girls (50%/50%) between the ages of 4 and 13 years. Boarding from Year 5 for the 30% of pupils who board. All are weekly or flexi boarders. The school has a non-selective admissions policy. It is a standalone prep school, and a member of the Lancing College Family of Schools within the Woodard Corporation. Dorset House School fees range from £3,810 (Rec) to £7,560 per term (2024/25). Fees exclude VAT but include lunches.

The Dorset House School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and the ISEB Common Entrance curriculum with some additions and variations. It also includes PSHE, French, Latin, Greek. The school offers each child a handful of extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

The Arts at Dorset House School

Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. Drama is part of the co-curriculum. AAll pupils learn an instrument in class and nearly all take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Two choirs and orchestra. The school offers each pupil over 5 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.

Wraparound care

Wraparound care from 8.00am to 6.00pm. Facility for occasional boarding. Minibus service.
