Dulwich Prep London is an independent prep day and boarding school for boys between the ages of 3 and 13 years. It has a co-ed nursery. Boarding from Year 3 for the very small number of pupils who board. All are weekly or flexi boarders. It is a Non-denominational Christian school, open to all faiths and none. The school has an academically selective admissions policy. It is a standalone prep school, not tied to any one senior school. A new senior school to age 16 opens in Sep 2025. Dulwich Prep London fees range from £6,790 (Rec) to £9,745 per term (2025/26). Fees include VAT and lunches.

The Dulwich Prep London curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and the ISEB Common Entrance curriculum with some additions and variations. It also includes PSHE, philosophy, French, Spanish, Latin, Greek. The school encourages good learning habits with ‘Excellent Learning’ techniques up to Year 4, and Costa’s 16 ‘Habits of Mind’ thereafter. The school is one of the 50 prep schools with the most extensive academic and hobby extra-curricular programmes in the UK. In recent years the school has enjoyed national tournament success in chess, general knowledge quizzes.

Sport at Dulwich Prep London

The Arts at Dulwich Prep London

Art, music and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and nearly all take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Over 25 choirs and instrument ensembles. Regular acceptance of pupils’ art at the Young Art Exhibition at the Royal College of Art. The school is one of the top 50 UK prep schools for the breadth of its creative and performing arts extra-curriculum.
