School fundamentals

Feltonfleet School is an independent prep day and boarding school for boys and girls (50%/50%) between the ages of 3 and 13 years. Boarding from Year 4 for the 20% of pupils who board. All are weekly or flexi boarders. The school has an academically selective admissions policy from Year 3. It is a standalone prep school, not tied to any one senior school. Feltonfleet School fees range from £5,580 (Rec) to £8,199 per term (2025/26). Fees include VAT but exclude lunches.

Feltonfleet School has two classes per year to Year 2, three from Year 3, and an average class size of 20 pupils.

Leavers' destinations

Destinations for Feltonfleet School leavers are one of 50 independent day and boarding schools, mainly at Year 8. The most popular schools over the last few years have been Epsom College (30% of leavers) and St John’s Leatherhead (15%). 33% of pupils win awards and scholarships.

The Feltonfleet School curriculum

School uses a thematic curriculum up to Year 4 for geography, history, science and technology. From Year 6 the school follows the ISEB curriculum and the skills-based Pre Senior Baccalaureate. Curriculum also includes PSHE, French, Spanish, Latin, Greek. Each pupil may participate in over 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

There are regular educational trips for all year groups, visiting speakers and residential trips from Year 7. The ‘Creativity and Values Education’ programme encourages critical thinking and resourcefulness in an outward bounds and social context.

Specialist teaching

Specialist teachers for music, art, languages, computing, drama and sport throughout, and for most subjects from Year 5.

Sport at Feltonfleet School

School offers over 20 different sports through the year, through both the curriculum and an extensive extra-curriculum. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in athletics, golf, hockey, netball, rugby 7s, shooting, skiing, swimming.

The Arts at Feltonfleet School

Art, music and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and half take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Three choirs, orchestra and several instrument ensembles. There are some extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.

Wraparound care

Wraparound care from 8.00am to 6.00pm. Facility for occasional boarding. Minibus service.
